The Moray coast has been ranked among the world's most breathtaking coastlines by the prestigious National Geographic Traveller magazine.
It declared the shoreline, which stretches from Inverness to Peterhead, is in "excellent shape, relatively unspoiled and likely to remain so".
It is one of 18 places, including Namibia,s Skeleton Coast and the Chilean coastline, to feature in the "top rated" category. Just one other UK spot- Pembrokeshire in Wales- secured the top accolade after a panel of 340 global experts in sustainable tourisim rated different locations.
This confirms what we have always known, that the Moray Firth is a lovely place to sail and visit.
