Caledonian Canal Winter Closure 2015-2016

The Caledonian Canal will be closed to sea-to-sea traffic for a period this winter to allow essential repairs to be carried out to a number of canal structures:
Closed to through traffic from 4pm Friday 8th January until 9am Monday 21st March 2016.
During this closure navigation of some sections of the canal will be possible within normal winter operating hours of Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm, by a minimum of 24 hours prior arrangement with the Canal Office in Inverness (Telephone 01463 725500).
Christmas and New Year arrangements: vessels wishing to transit sea-to-sea before the Christmas and New Year break MUST enter the canal by 9am on Tuesday 22nd December 2015 by the very latest to be sure of transit.
Vesssels entering the sea locks for safe haven at Corpach and Seaport Marina MUST arrive by midday on Thursday 24th December 2015 at the very latest.
After New Year the canal will re-open to transit traffic at 9am on Tuesday 5th January 2016 for 4 days, subject to normal winter operating hours.
