Kessock Bridge - Reduction of Air Draught

KESSOCK BRIDGE - REDUCTION OF AIR DRAUGHT.
Please be advised that Bear Scotland have issued a revised schedule for the works.
The reduction of air draught will now not come into effect until Monday 14th March 2016.
The works period is expected to take eight weeks approx. from that date.
The navigational Air Draught will be reduced to 25.79m. (above MHWS) as previously intimated.
Bear Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, require to erect two gantries over-side during this time, at the midpoint of the navigational span.
The works are to replace all eight tuned mass dampers on the bridge. Dampers will be raised/lowered to a work barge below the mid-span.
Wherever possible these barge works will be carried out at low water slack.
All vessels to keep watch on VHF Channel 12.
